[postgis-users] Photo Management on PostGIS ?

Hello there,

I am working on thousands of Air Photos which are on a file server now. I
was wondering if there is a way to use PostgreSQL to store the photos and
any postgis functions to manage these photos. Some of the photos are
georeferenced and most not. As I have no experience using DBMS to store
photos, could anyone point me to the right direction?

I know there is Image Server from ESRI or other vendor to assist photo
management. Does postgis have similar functions?

Any input would be much appreciated.
