> 1) How you use PostGIS?

Mainly to gain valuable experience in developing solutions that cross multiple spatial SQL databases so that I am ready to provide services of value to customers.

> 2) What you find useful about it over anything else?

PostGIS's range of additional functions is the deepest around; its SQL/MM and OGC SFS implementation is pretty complete (though curve support could, and will, be improved) and so is an excellent test bed for learning and development. Finally, the whole PostgreSQL/PostGIS implementation footprint is small with excellent performance.

> 3) Why you think there should be any book written focused on its use and of course if such a thing were to exist, would you buy it?

In the Oracle world the book "Pro Oracle Spatial" has proven to be excellent and is on the shelves (or open next to the computer) of most users. I certainly would buy a copy especially if Regina was involved in writing it as her knowledge of the product is wide and deep: I would hope that it had advanced tips/function comparisons and not just be an introductory book.

regards
Simon
