[postgis-users] PostGIS layer not rendering

without seeing the result - there could be several issues:

* you need proper primary keys for display in QGIS (e.g. a sequence or 
an  integer type column with unique data) - maybe you don't have a 
column that qualifies as a primary key?
* most GIS (including QGIS) don't allow mixtures of geometry types (e.g. 
points mixed with lines, etc.)

There could be other issues as well.
