[postgis-users] Union fails on 2389 linestrings.

This example works fine in the current JTS codebase.  It's a bit 
surprising this fails in PostGIS, since the topology requirements for 
LineStrings are very low (as compared to polygonal data).  There may be 
an issue in GEOS which is causing this.

In the meantime you can always use JTS over PostGIS via JEQL....  8^)
