[postgis-users] Persist PostGIS Layers in ArcMap Document and Layer Files

Hi,

Due to an incident, a small component was lost while compiling PgMap 2.2. This makes the ArcMap map document files and layer files created by PgMap 2.2 were not able to be persisted with PostGIS layer information.

We have corrected this and a new PgMap 2.2 download package is now available on WWW.ST-Links.com. If you ever installed PgMap 2.2, please download this new parckage and install it again.

PgMap 1.0, PgMap 2.0 do not have this problem.

==== Answers to the following questions.

Hello,

Thanks for sending the registration file across, I've been testing the
application with some PostgreSQL tables and have come across a couple of
problems which I hope you might be able to help with.

1) The data sources do not persist between sessions so when I restart
ArcMap none of the layers I saved have the correct source and are showing
exclamation marks. I get a message that the extension is not enabled even
though it is checked from the Extensions menu. I have to uncheck it and
check it again to enable it. Even with this working if I close the MXD and
re-open it the sources are still not correct and I have to manually set all
of the layers to the correct table again.

2) I can't get the edit features functionality to work. I've setup a serial
column and added a unique constraint to it too but it still isn't working.
They get placed on the map but as soon as you save edits they disappear.
Looking at attributes of existing features I can see the attributes but
they are all greyed out and I can't edit them.

Thanks for your help,

Peter.
