[postgis-users] PostGis Update from alpha 7 to beta 1.

I found the part on soft upgrade in Chapter 2. Installation.
So I guess (if I understand correctly) I have to do the exact same process
I followed to installed the alpha 7 and then afterwards update my database
with the script?
