[postgis-users] Installing PostGIS 2.0.1 at a different location

May I suggest you first of all file a ticket for this ?
Then you should look at the Makefile.in under utils, I guess.
Most likely the problem is with the mixed use we make of PGXS
and non-PGXS makefiles...
