[postgis-users] No SFCGAL static?

The readme doesn't say anything, but when I try to configure PostGIS with a static SFCGAL, it gives a *warning* that sfcgal is static, and the status at the end says sfcgal support disabled.

Why can't I use a static SFCGAL?  I'd like a simpler installation with as few non-standard external links as possible, but if it's critical to have a shared library I can live with it.  And the readme should mention this requirement.
