[postgis-users] regarding ST_MapAlgebraExpr()

Dear All,

I am using ST_MapAlgebraExpr() - 2 raster band version to find the intersection of two overlapping raster's.
I want to know from the Postgis community/developers if there is an extra material that tells me the theoretical/algebraic background of this function and if that can be shared. Does this function is based on the concept of T-norms (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T-norm) when using different extent types, i.e., INTERSECTION, UNION, FIRST, SECOND.
