[postgis-users] Any function to compute line trend and identify segment running in flat areas

[Shaozhong SHI]

A line may run steeply downslope and then over flat areas.

Any generic function to determine so?

Input:  geometry and relative overall gradient

Output: the segment running steeply, the segment running in flat area

Any recommendations and suggestions?
