It is compiled using Proj.4.7.0 distribution files:

epsg, esri, esri.extra, GL27, IGNF, nad27, nad83
other.extra and world

There are 7793 proj.4 definitions. It is a text file and
can be examined and edited with a std. text editor. The
old fashion "title=" statements are converted to "#"
comment lines.  Comments are inside the <block>
and white space is converted to CRLF for clarity.

Names are converted from plain numbers to include
the source, such as ESRI:32149.

Here is an example definition block. The name is
included in the block as a comment line.
