Hi all,
The OSGeo Marketing committee has asked for input from OSGeo projects.
I think we should discuss ideas here and provide feedback as asked.
Best,
Angelos

Dear OSGeo project reps,
As OSGeo Marketing Chair I have used the names listed in
http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Contacts
At present we are revamping the Marketing function in OSGeo. As projects
are the corner stones of our community you are invited to give input in how
your projects could benefit most from OSGeo's marketing/promotional
umbrella. Please mention also where your own project communications and the
way it positions itself in this world could - in return - strengthen the
overall OSGeo-proposition and promotional strategy.
Effectively, how can you help us help you?? Therefor, you are invited to
express by return mail your expectations, ideas, contributions, advice,
needs etc when it comes to positioning and promoting your projects in the
right places. Whether it is all achievable, viable and feasible...that is
for later worry. For now
Who knows; we canperhaps already implement some quick wins at FOSS4G 2016
in Bonn/Germany! (How about featuring your projects more prominently at the
OSGeo-booth?)
By the way, unfortunately I cannot find mail address of Garrett Potts, so
if one of you could be helpful?
I am looking forward to your initial input at your earliest convenience,
but at least by the 7th of July.
Kind regards,
Marc Vloemans
