[pycsw-devel] harvesting from CKAN and ESRI products

Sorry I'm a bit of noob when it comes to metadata and CSW services and was
hoping someone in the pycsw community could provide some insight.  My
region has seen the growth of open data portals at all levels of gov't,
most of which are using either ESRI's geohub or CKAN.  This is all great
however it makes finding information difficult as you don't know which
level of gov't or portal to access.  We'd like to aggregate this
information into a common catalog (pycsw) through an automated process and
then utilize the APIs and links to OWS / ESRI rest services provided on the
portals to add the information to a web based map.  I know that HHypermap
was doing something similar but it is more than we are looking for and the
project no longer seems active.

Does anyone know of other projects or tools out there doing this sort of
thing?  My organization has fairly limited resources and this seems like a
fairly large undertaking at this point.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
