[Qgis-community-team] translation question

Hi Richard,

we have an old translation from QGIS manual 1.8 (the GPL and FDL appendix)
and this translation is not in transifex. Probably, because it was not
translated with transifex at that time.

Is it possible to just upload the 1.8 .po files to transifex? Would that
work? I remember it would not be recognized correctly?
