[Qgis-developer] GUI Translation issues

Dear devs,

while updating the german translation of the QGIS GUI I encountered
some problems regarding to the Key-Bindungs.

an example:
Original text:
By default new la&yers added to the map should be displayed

Translates to:
Standardmäßig werden alle neuen Ebenen in der Karte angezeigt.

So there is no &y to bind the keys to, because the translated text does
not have a y in it.

What to do here?
