[Qgis-developer] error in vector split plugin

When selecting a folder in my home to save a split vector to, I get:

An error has occured while executing Python code:
Traceback (most recent call last):
 File "/home/paolo/.qgis//python/plugins/vectorsplit/doVectorSplit.py",
line 140, in outFile
  self.folderName = str(folderName)
MemoryError

when saving to /home/Documenti, everything is fine.
Any explanation?
