The features I mentioned were those that are key to 1.0 and have been
on the feature list for at least a couple of years.
One approach is to limit new features now, with the exeception of
those needed to complete the 1.0 feature set. This would allow
stabilization of the code base in other areas while the features (map
composer, labels, raster catalog) were being completed.
