Hi

Paolo yes your list is about right - I would add to it the gui
revision I  am doing (though it probably falls under a bug fixing
exercise if you consider UI inconsistencies to be bugs).

Anne it is not clear to me if your work should be shipped in core or
as a plugin maintained independently on the qgis plugin archive. The
criteria for including in core are what dependencies your final
product will have.
