Paolo, 

The installer blocks incompatible repositories _except_ the "official" one. 
This one contains mostly plugins for 0.x, but there and also few plugins for 
1.x. When we open the new repository for 1.x, this one will be of corse 
blocked in QGIS 1.0 and leaved for 0.x.
