Those hpp files come from the pal library. From what I understood, they are .cpp and .h file in one. So I think it is no problem if they are compiled and included from other libpal files.

Another bit from the vector overlay changeset, I'm not sure what it  
means: the *.hpp sources in the libpal are in the core QGIS_CORE_SRCS  
list to compile.  They're also #included from other sources in  
libpal.  Is this right?
