[Qgis-developer] eVis tests

Hi all.
Running the eVis tutorial
http://biodiversityinformatics.amnh.org/index.php?section_id=116
goes smoothly, but when I try to run a query (either by hand or with a preset
query from xml), I get a popup with layer name, x and y (I add a name, select x
and y fields), then:

The layer is not a valid layer and can not be added to the map

The connection seems to be ok:
New Database connection requested...
Connection to [./home/paolo/Desktop/eVis_tutorial/PhotoPoints.db] established
Tables:
->Points
->Attributes

Any explanation? QGIS from trunk on debian unstable.
