[Qgis-developer] Map composer legend item transparency

I saw some maps recently, presumably from ArcGIS, that had the vector  
transparency with a tiny sample of the underlying hillshade beneath.  
This would handle your concern for drapes, but would not account for  
multiple vector overlays. I think just having the vector transparency  
alone would be an improvement.
