Another problem I frequently stumble upon is point markers: in the SVG output, these are usually shown as bitmap symbols instead of true SVG. Same goes for the PDF output, point markers are also bitmapped in there.

Outputting layered SVG corresponding to map layers would also be *very* nice. I once started writing a plugin to do this, but never got very far. In any case, it would very much facilitate the Qgis -> Inkscape/Illustrator workflow!
