[Qgis-developer] Value Tool crashes QGIS

Hi all.
I'm happily using the Value Tool plugin on a 686 machine (deb testing+qgis self
compiled). While installing the same plugin on an amd64 PC (deb unstable+qgis self
compiled) I get a Segmentation fault during installation, and qgis cannot be started
again:

$ qgis
Python support ENABLED :-)
Loaded : OpenStreetMap plugin (package: osm)
Loaded : MapServer Export (package: mapserver_export)
Segmentation fault

unless I rm the valuetool dir in the plugin dir.
Anyone has the same problem? Any hint?
