Hi Marco,

It seems to not work on shapefiles, postgis, etc. Here is a test shapefile anyway. I used several standard svg symbols from the default selection, none of which worked. Perhaps I did not try enough. The red and blue asterisk thing is one. Here's one of my own that did not work also.
