[Qgis-developer] Adding "Save changes" button to layer editor

Hi,
I wanted to create plugin with similar functionality like it is
described in this ticket:  https://trac.osgeo.org/qgis/ticket/2579  .
I agree, that it would be nice to have such tool (or maybe only
keyboard shortcut to save changes) directly in QGIS.
My question is, has somebody plans to implement this ticket, or should
I write plugin by myself if I want this?
