[Qgis-developer] Keyword substitution in PostgreSQL data provider

What would you think abut adding support for keyword substitution
in pgsql data provider ? Such a thing could be used to invoke
SQL functions that behave differently based on client state.

I'm thinking, for example, using map resolution for line simplification.
