Hi Alister,

Thanks for your reply, and I think you are correct.  I tried installing both
the OSGeo and the standalone version of Wroclaw on Windows Vista, and there
is no "customization" item in the Settings menu.  In addition, there are no
configuration files as described in
http://linfiniti.com/2011/07/batch-customizing-qgis/
