[Qgis-developer] New plugin repository and 1.7.3

I'm running 1.7.3 and trying to get a new version of
the QuickWKT plugin. New versions of the plugin are only
available in the new repository, but the plugin installer
seems to be unable to see _any_ plugin in the new repository.

Is that expected behaviour ?
That is, is plugin_installer 1.2.1 unable to parse the new XML
for plugins repositories ?

Mind you, I had a wrong url for the new official repository
as it was installed by a development version of qgis from 1.7
branch and had to manually tweak it to get it right:

Bogus:

  "QGIS Official Repository 2" http://plugins.qgis.org/plugins

Corrected as:

  "QGIS Official Repository 2" http://plugins.qgis.org/plugins/plugins.xml

Also it seems that _current_ (1.7.3) plugin installer removed the new
repository completely from the set of known official repositories, but
such removal doesnt' affect the user configuration.

Speaking of which: maybe the plugin installer should prevent you from
dropping or editing repositories which are installed by code or allow
you to "refresh" user configuration to match the one provided by new
versions...
