I do not think the QGIS user base is composed mainly of wealthy uncaring
and greedy people.

It would probably not surprise most QGIS users that many use QGIS and gis
tools above their pay spectrum, personal interest, passion, volunteer and
education.
Many of these QGIS users are very passionate about spreading the word of
QGIS, and if given the opportunity would LOVE to contribute to QGIS.

If the argument keeps coming around to the problem of QGIS is the Users not
contributing monies to the QGIS project the QGIS Project needs to ask,
"How can the QGIS Project attract more investment?" , Not, "What is wrong
with QGIS users not investing money in the project?"

Back to Quality Assurance,

I am more than happy to test the OS X version of QGIS

Sometimes when it comes down to a problem of a plugin, it would be nice if
there would be some unified and clear way to report bugs (from a user
point) to the appropriate place to report problems.

As it stands, the user base is increasing and so will the reports.

How can the QGIS Project make it easier for users to report bugs without
feeling intimidated or confused as to how,
or that they are bothering developers or a burden to developers?

This should not be about Users vs Developers or Developers vs Users, just
how each group can better aid each other.
