Sorry, I did not look at the version of the table manager - just as 
noted in my first mail to the version of QGIS (OSGeo-Installer, QGIS 1.7 
r15172). As the mentioned Win7-Box is at my workplace and now the 
weekend has started, I have no access until monday...
