[Qgis-developer] Plugins repository

Hello,

what is the status of the plugins repository effort?

I had look at the Django powered http://plugins.qgis.org/ and it seems
promising but at the moment, there is no content and it seems
unfinished (and also it is running in DEBUG mode which is strongly
discouraged both for performance and security reasons).

Is there any roadmap to make the site live? I wrote a plugin for
processing of animals radio telemetry data and I would like to share
it with others but I need an easy way to manage the plugin, update it,
etc.
