[Qgis-developer] Making layers visible

Hie,


Today I was using Qgis..Something very general took my attention. In order
to show the layer or make the layer visible you want , you click on the box
near the layer and  "x" appears on it. Isn' t that icon has the meaning of
closing something.. and not related with opening or showing.. Just a
question I wonder...And just an opinion of course, tick icon could
be better there not to confuse...
