Paolo, Mayeul,
I've checked 1 and 3 using QGIS 1.6 and win XP and 7.
Bug 3: IE8 does not have any problems with that page.
I can not reproduce 1 either, using an windows-ish equivlent of Mayeul's method.

I confirm bug 2 and 4 and I'm going to open 2 tickets.
I cannot test bug 3.
I cannot reproduce bug 1:
I did (on Linux shell):
touch /tmp/test.gml
touch /tmp/test2.GML
I saw (live) the two files created instantly in the vector import window
(with GML filter).
