I was just helping out a senior of mine at college for his project which
required data state wise. Hence I haven't decided any geographic extend of
this project. If there are similar sources which produce daily or hourly
AWS data, I would be more than happy to extend the coverage to the maximum
extend possible.

The web interface of the IMD AWS site gives the option to download it in
variety of formats like, district level, state level and also for the
entire nation. You could have noticed the "All States" option in the plugin.

As said previously, this was written with just a single source [
www.imdaws.com/ViewAwsData.aspx ] in mind.

If you/users could come up with a list for similar sites, I will write the
code to integrate the downloading of data from those sites to QGIS for
direct import.
