Ok I can replicate - procedure to replicate:

Populate a real field with a constant e.g. 1.5
Save layer

Edit layer again
Open calculator

Tick update existing field
Field: currentdep

Enter this formula:

 "currentdep"  / 3

(note that the field is self referenced, i.e. its referencing the
field it is updating).

Also note the buttonbox is not stretching all the way across the dialog.
