Agreed fully. However, given the recent experience with plugins repos (lots of very
useful plugins are still to be migrated, a 10-min work, with the result they are of
difficult access for new users) I'm a bit worried that we can get stuck, with the
alternative of either:
* releasing qgis with missing important functions, or
* postponing a release with nice new features.
