[Qgis-developer] Removing old labelling

 Hi,

We discussed this issue backwards and forwards and it would be good to
make some progress here. There is really not a lot missing in the new
labeling and I don't agree with Paolo that the new labeling is slower
than the old labeling. It may have different settings and thus people
 are comparing apples with oranges.

It would be good to integrate the labeling 2.0 in the layers dialogue
 and make it the default.

If someone is missing a feature in labeling 2.0 that is present in
labeling 1.0 he/she should either work on it or pay someone to work on
it. It is not good blocking labeling 2.0 just because some minor aspect
 is missing.

What are the real issues/problems with labeling 2.0?

 Andreas
