[Qgis-developer] Hackfest in Americas? was Re: HF: final remarks

Gary and I have chatted about this. The west coast is somewhat ideal and
the further north the better (in terms of shorter/cheaper flights,
especially for the Alaska crew).

The main characters that I know of to involve would be:
Larry - Dakotas
Aaron Racicot - Oregon
Gary Sherman - Alaska (+ a couple of people Gary works with)
Alex Mandel (me) - Davis, CA
Bob M.(cgsbob) - Sacramento, CA
Jctull - Reno, Nv

Seattle or Portland seem like good candidates with CUGOS and PDX-OSGeo
chapters. OSGeo Sprint was outside Seattle last year. Also there is the
OSGeo North America in Minnesota this April.

Of course I'm willing to host at UC Davis if it helps, since I can get
rooms relatively easily but we need help organizing donations to keep us
fed.

Thanks,
Alex
