[Qgis-developer] attributeMap vs. attributes

Why not just hide it using Python method overriding:
QgsVectorLayer.attributeMap = QgsVectorLayer.attributes
Then you can just call attributesMap()[] and it will call
QgsVectorLayer.attributes for you.
