Hi
Just out of Curiosity ..
Why are Download Statistics so important? Just to compare with "commercial"
Software and their selling amounts?
Personally I find download numbers interesting but .. well - we will never
know how many users we really have.
I also agree with Radim that such a question is annoying (but at least you
are going to get asked - and not just raped like with other software ;) )
Do we really have to counterfeit our own statistics?
I think we do have a lot of Users.. Isn't that enough?
Of course it would be interesting how many people are using it under MacOS
or Linux but .. what are we doing with that numbers?
Regarding the Windows downloads we have an increasing number of downloads
.. isn't that enough to know?
It's not that I am against such polls but .. what's the real benefit?
and this is not meant offending - I am really only interested why it would
be important to know exact numbers ..
kind regards
Werner
