[Qgis-developer] C++ Code examples for 1.8 version

Hi all,

I'm new to this community and starting to learn QGis. I've seen in the
documentation some c++ code examples to work with QGis libraries. In fact
I've seen in github[1] the code itself, but it seems quite outdated.

Is there a place where I can find updated (qgis 1.8) examples?  I've seen
too in stack overflow references to http://blog.qgis.org but it's not
active.

Any hints?
