Hi Tim

Thanks for the invitation. I've read the contributor guidelines and agree and will make my best endeavours to comply with this, including cracking the occasional joke as obligated by the Social Contract. I will not directly commit to areas other than the delimited text provider without discussion and agreement from the developer community and Marco Hugentobler.

My github user name is ccrook.

Thanks
Chris Crook

Subject: Fwd: Invitation to become a QGIS core committer

Hi Chris (second attempt at this email as I think I got your email address wrong last time!)

We (the QGIS PSC) would like to invite you to become a 'core' committer on QGIS. Core committer status would transfer to you the ability to directly maintain code in the following areas:

* delimited text provider

Our expectation is that if you wish to contribute (by direct commits) to other areas of the code base that you should please discuss your plans with Marco Hugentobler (who is the PSC member in charge of the code base) and the developers mailing list in general in order to make sure that your plans are aligned with the general goals and ethos of the project.

Before we can accept you as a core committer, we ask you to please read http://hub.qgis.org/wiki/quantum-gis/Contributor_Guidelines and reply to this message indicating that you have agreed with these pages.

Also please let me know your github username so that I can add you at that time.

We look forward to welcoming you as a new committer to the QGIS team! Once you have been given commit status, please add your details to doc/AUTHORS in the format defined in that file.

Best regards

Tim (on behalf of the PSC)
