[Qgis-developer] mapCanvas refresh does not show newly created features in memory layers

Hi all,

I have filled a bug some time ago[0], which I find weird.

In a plugin:
1. I create a memory layer
2. I add a feature in it
3. mapCanvas.refresh() does not make the feature visible but 
mapCanvas.zoomIn/Out() does.

This is truly weird, anyone has an idea what to look for?
