[Qgis-developer] Grouped symbols

Hi all.
I have been submitted an interesting question: is it possible to group symbols in a
legend? e.g., for OSM points, putting all the amenities in one group, all the
transportations in another, etc.
I found no easy and clean solution: is a current limitation, or am I missing something?
