[Qgis-developer] Postgis Caching - Enhancement

I may be wrong, but it seems that some kind of caching is done in
other gis packages. I recently tested how rendering time of very large
vectors (a 4 million features shapefile) compared in multi-threaded
qgis and arcgis (by the way, rendering time is very similar) and found
that in AG 1) canvas is not refreshed when doing a selection 2) in AG
loading the same shapefile in a new project (without closing the
program window) is just an instant.
