[Qgis-developer] Do we need a single select map tool?

While I agree that the rectangle select achieves the same as the single point tool (and more), I'm watching most of the other users at my work and noticing that they seem to expect to have to change tools.

If the default was changed to rectangle, I'd expect that most would change it the first time that they needed to do a single point select anyway.
