[Qgis-developer] Map swipe tool in QGIS

Hi Luigi,

some time ago we have discussion about having mupltiple map canvaces
in QGIS and even there was experimental patch for this [0].

But this is a very complex topic with many open questions. Maybe we should
start new discussion on this topic.
