[Qgis-developer] Create rasterlayer in python

Hello,

Is it possible to create a rasterlayer from nothing with python api use?

 1.   create an empty raster layer (for example 200x200pixels)
 2. and set each pixel with a specific value obtained by a custom
    interpolation
