[Qgis-developer] Future of OpenLayers plugin - time to deprecate?

+1, random thoughts:
1/ would be good to work with the openlayers dev to figure out a way to
inform current users that this better alternative is taking over
2/ the name of the plugin that would supersede openlayers isn't that great
(both in terms of indicating it is an alternative to openlayers, and more
generally to indicate what it does); if the authors are open to renaming,
it'd be great. BaseLayers? OpenLayersPlus? ;)
